Although Robert Money McCulloch is renowned for his prowess as an Economic Investigator, he ponders how he became involved with this case. His suspicions were heightened by the numerous security personnel that remained with him after receiving the assignment from the Vice Chancellor of Germany. He couldn't understand why the German government needed him as opposed to auditors from their federal bank system. However, things became clearer when the case that started as a money laundering investigation involving one of the largest banks in Germany quickly developed into an international conspiracy to sabotage the financial system of the United States.
Throughout his career, Money McCulloch has always been the deliberate type of investigator to follow the facts wherever they lead him. He was given the nickname of Money by his peers because he consistently resolved cases with large financial consequences. In this circumstance, the facts have led him down a trail of murders committed to cover political espionage taking place at the highest levels of several governments. Five senior bank executives have been killed within a few months of each other. The Chief Executive Officer who ran bank operations disappeared. Shortly after uncovering the atrocities not shared by the German government, the world of Money and his team of researchers was turned upside down.
What was an investigation had shifted to a fight for survival as Money and his team found themselves on the run from operatives representing the interests of multiple countries. It is evident to Money the secret agents and mercenaries are aligned on one objective. Eliminate him and his team before they can expose the existence of a conspiracy document termed Breaking The Green Trust.
But what is the Green Trust? As Money found out during his investigation, the Green Trust is the world financial system's belief in the credit worthiness of the United States dollar. It was a concept sold by President Nixon and his cabinet when he separated the dollar from the gold standard. The premise of the pitch was the dollar was as good as gold and easier to transact trade. Thus began a trust that became the engine that ran the global financial system.
Now someone was conspiring to break that trust and didn't mind murdering whoever was in the way of their plans. Money was trying to solve the case while fighting for personal and team survival. Was the plan to steal from the U.S. gold inventory? Were other financial systems at risk of being sabotaged? Did it have something to do with the enormous debt of the United States?
Money knows he must resolve these questions to stop the Breaking The Green Trust conspiracy. Although right now, the situation is about survival. There have been multiple shootouts, people killed trying to protect him, friends in the hospital due to gunshot wounds and a close associate kidnapped. He must withstand the onslaught of treacherous acts to keep the conspiracy from being uncovered. He must endure the forces of power sent to eliminate him and Break The Green Trust.
