Part of San Francisco's pass history includes a section of The City once called Butchertown. During the late 1800's and early 1900's this section of town along Isias Creek, was home to 24 slaughter houses. The population of this neiborhood was very diverse. Most of the adults immigrated to the United States from many of the European Country's and few spoke English. This group of new Americans worked hard for very little pay. They were tough people and had to fight for what was theirs.
