They had always held on to one another.

Long ago, fruit bats lived in ancient places half a world away. Today, at Bear Creek Nature Center, a small colony known as Bobbie and the Fruits carries on that same quiet tradition of belonging.

When a young visitor comes face to face with these gentle animals, she begins to see them differently-not as creatures to fear, but as creatures with their own story to tell. Inspired by real fruit bats, Bobbie and the Fruits is a timeless story about empathy, connection, and the discovery that we may not be so different after all.

Like Bobbie and the Fruits, many bat species live in colonies, caring for one another and finding comfort in staying close.
