As someone who likes solitude, Adithi Srinivas spends every summer break doing nothing but spending time at home or at the library alone. But one summer, she broke that chain by taking a part-time café job with her friend to spend time around people. Her life starts to take a turn when Kim Sung Jae, the guy whom she liked for six years, appears before her unexpectedly at that café.
Kim Sung Jae lives in the same building as Adithi but they barely crossed paths as he hardly stayed at home with his parents. He comes to the cafe she works at and talks to her in a way that indicates his affection for her, only when she starts to think of it as an unrequited love.
And it's in the same summer that she comes to know some things she hasn't known before about her mother and her family in India.
