The fort's dark entrance gaped like a mouth, its windows empty eyes. It was darker and larger than Blue Bunny had imagined it to be. His whiskers trembled. Hearing stories about heroes and villains and adventures was quite different than actually being in those stories. He was no hero, he thought. He was just a bunny with funny looking fur. He took a deep breath, hugged his compass to his chest, and stepped into the darkness. The halo of the headlamp offered a small reassurance, even as the glow bounced eerily off the concrete walls. The ceiling disappeared into darkness. The corridor was dark and dank, full of wet dripping noises. It looked as though no one had been inside for a very long time. The sound of slamming metal echoed in the cavernous room. A rusted door howled on its hinges. Blue Bunny reached out, his heart thudding.A talking map. A magic compass. Secrets and kidnappings. A bunny who wants to be brave, but isn't sure he can. See if Blue Bunny can follow his heart, do the right thing even when it's hard, solve the mystery of the missing blackberries, and rescue his friends in this heartwarming, laugh-out-loud animal adventure. Heidi Nielsen Thiese is a reader, scientist, and nature lover. She grew up telling stories in the woods and wilds of Washington state, where she lives with her family, Blue Bunny, Brown Bunny, and Bear.
