Zach Von Dyetrich, aka: VonDye, is an outlaw spacer, a boozer, smuggler, con man, vagrant, and all around womanizing bumpkin. But when he meets Naiya Beddau, who becomes a surrogate sister over time, he has the chance to get straight and leave all that behind as third in command of her starship. But his new life with her crew is shattered in a confrontation with a militant group, and old habits come back to haunt him as he searches for any signs of life from his comrades. That search leads him right into the path of his crime lord brother, Deeke, who has plans to make him his right hand man in a heist of epic proportions, one whose revelation will only come when everything has fallen into the right places. As Zach uncovers the tangled web of his brother's plans, he becomes even deeper involved with the criminal underground, risking life and sanity to beat his brother at his own game. But Zach's efforts are dangerously close to not paying off when things finally start to go into motion. Because Deeke is planning something nobody has attempted before. And Zach himself might be the lynchpin.
