A terrific crime novel, the fifth in the series of Sivert Olafsen, Police Investigator. After some police investigations where he got almost killed in a shootout with a gang of violent bikers, he was granted a retirement a year ahead of time.

She did not look forward to him sitting in his favorite chair with a drink in hand for the rest of his life. She could see the dilemma with him continued his strenuous work as a private eye as well.
Siver Olafsen was not destined to sit in a chair doing nothing for the rest of his life. He still considered to pick up his former work as a police hand, with his own company.
Coincidentally he is approached for getting involved in an ugly case of blackmail and treats against a Shipping Company, run by his friend Johan Grevstad. Marion favors him to get involved, she works in the same shipping company. She is aware that her boss needs him to him to get out of the threatening situation.
