John Doe was an unemployed, homeless vet suffering from bouts of PTSD. That wasn't his real name, and he had no real ID, claiming he lived off the grid his entire life. The guy found a place to live at a local shelter and a job as their handyman and kitchen help in their free charity meal program. He also claimed to be Dahrkem Vi'Oli, an exiled Madari warrior, a high-ranking alien commander of a feared military space force. Dahrkem fled his sector of space, seeking shelter on an obscure world called Earth far out on the arm of our spiral galaxy. Only the cleric who runs First Sanctuary and one other permanent resident and coworker know his secret. When a lawyer promises to provide him with a legitimate ID, John Doe - Dahrkem Vi'Oli leaves his safe environment at her urging. That woman is also an alien, a different species, and she forces Dahrkem to work for her. Doing this alien's bidding brings his enemies to Earth and begins a life and death battle against superior forces sent to kill him.
