8x10 with color illustrations. Beanie is the story of a little bat who escapes from an experimental laboratory in New Orleans. His first day of freedom lands him right into Bob's cup of coffee at a famous coffee shop in the French Quarter. Now, Beanie just can't get enough! Bob is a friendly children's book writer who has an eye for fancy hats. Although he's smart and compassionate, he's lonely and needs a friend. He quickly discovers they are two peas in a pod! Everything seems to be going well for them, until Bob finds out the lab is searching for his new friend. He is willing to do whatever it takes to keep Beanie safe. But that's not all... Beanie is hiding a secret, and it's the reason the lab is on the hunt. When Bob finds out what it is, New Orleans is turned upside down. The whole town comes together to right the wrongs done by the lab. Solving Beanie's dilemmas prove that animals can be best friends, and wherever there are hardships, ultimately, people will come together for the greater good because we are all connected. With funny and touching moments, Beanie is a tale the whole family will enjoy!
