Matthew Walsh thought he had it all-a loving wife, two wonderful children, and a fulfilling career as a history teacher. But his world is turned upside down when he discovers an old, unmarked VHS tape in his attic. In an inexplicable twist of fate, Matthew finds himself transported back to 1996, inhabiting the body of a 15-year-old version of himself.
Suddenly, Matthew is thrust into the life of Matthew Bolger, a foster child with no memory of his past (because he hadn't one), living with the kind-hearted Bolger family. As he navigates the challenges of being a teenager again-high school drama, first crushes, and family dynamics-Matthew discovers a deeper purpose for his journey through time.
He forms an unbreakable bond with his foster siblings, Zoe and Robby, becoming their protector and confidant. But when Zoe disappears with her troubled mother, Matthew realizes he may have the power to change the course of history and save her life.
Torn between two worlds-his life in 2024 and his new existence in 1996-Matthew must make impossible choices. Can he alter the past without erasing the future he loves? And if he succeeds in saving Zoe, will he find a way back to his family in the present?
Be Kind, Rewind... Time is a heartwarming and thrilling tale of family, friendship, and the enduring power of love across time. Keeley weaves a masterful story that explores the complexities of second chances, the butterfly effect of our actions, and the unbreakable bonds that connect us all.
As Matthew races against time to protect his foster family and find his way home, he learns valuable lessons about sacrifice, courage, and the true meaning of family. With each rewind and fast-forward, he discovers that sometimes the most profound journeys are those that lead us back to ourselves.
This poignant and thought-provoking novel will resonate with anyone who's ever wondered what if? and yearned for a chance to right past wrongs. Keeley's vivid storytelling brings the 1990s to life with nostalgic detail, while exploring timeless themes of identity, belonging, and the choices that shape our lives.
Be Kind, Rewind... Time is an unforgettable adventure that will make you laugh, cry, and ponder the intricate tapestry of fate and free will. It's a reminder that every moment is precious and that the love we share with others is the true measure of a life well-lived.
Will Matthew find his way back to 2024? Or will he choose to remain in the past, forever altering the course of his life and the lives of those he's come to cherish? The answers lie within the pages of this captivating tale, where the past and present collide in the most unexpected and heartwarming ways.
Prepare to be transported, challenged, and ultimately uplifted by this extraordinary story of a man caught between two times, two families, and the ultimate question: Where does he truly belong?
