Barood - a synopsis.
An exciting immersion into the world of the Indian Film Industry, in the making of a blockbuster movie which should be a commercial and cinematic success. The story shows behind the scenes struggles of what a film director, Raj Cobra, the main protagonist of the book, must deal with to bring to life his dream project.
Embedded with glimpses of the action-packed story sequences of the movie itself, while it is being shot, sometimes in India, sometimes abroad.
The story of Barood
Inspired from the multi-starrer action packed cop movie thrillers from the 1970's, Barood is the story of a crime lord - Sridhar is an Indian drug lord, with a hold all over India, his right-hand man is Rawal. They get the drugs from a Colombian drug cartel ring, Akbar and Shankar are two honest and heroic police officers who are after the two villains and want to arrest them along with the drugs but the two always seem to get away, once on bikes, once on trains and once on speed motorboats on a river chase sequence. Ultimately, they get caught amid a fight sequence with Rawal and Akbar and Shankar.
