In 1967, another passionate young woman, Lily, takes up Lizzie's cause and protests pollution and environmental destruction. Her words, like Lizzie's, leave her exiled from the rest of society.
In 2029, Kayla is part of the golden generation in Atro-City. Atro-City is a fully functioning, flourishing community. Kayla spends her school days training to fight Atro-City's enemies and learning its history. Her teachers tell of a mythical book that can grant wishes, but Kayla scoffs at the idea. She embarks on an adventure to prove to her friends that the book doesn't exist. In her quest for the book, however, Kayla learns its true history and connection to both Lizzie and Lily.
