Brilliant scientist Ed Delaney is trapped in a bad marriage, but he has just invented the world's first functional time machine. His lab assistant says he should use his invention to go back and fix the things that have gone wrong in his life, but he doesn't feel that it would be ethical to use such an amazing device for personal purposes.
