Mark Miremont's AntinomiA is a unique collection of aphorisms that address everything from ontology, the foundation of mathematics, epistemology, metaphysics and interconnectedness, to the fallacy of equality, the problems with modern democracy, aesthetics and the place of artists in a healthy culture. The ideas in the book blossomed during one of the most dramatic paradigm shifts in all of human history: the dawn of The Information Age. Structurally, Miremont divides AntinomiA (and all of philosophy) into two distinct categories: (1) Descriptive Philosophy, and (2) Prescriptive Philosophy. Within this new taxonomy, the book is concise in focus and poetic in style. Those with a background in philosophy will certainly benefit when it comes to some of the esoteric and technical language in the book, but a novice will equally gleam insights from its clarity and succinctness. The structure, style and passion of the book make it a true original. And despite it's humbleness in volume, AntinomiA will rattle what you believe and awaken your mind; inspiring you to pick it up again and again- discovering something new on each return.
