The original angels rebelled against God, joining forces with Luc in a war that ended in their defeat and Luc's banishment to hell. These dissenting angels, marked with unique halos, became known as the Applause Angels and were confined to the spirit world. Desperate to escape and inhabit beautiful humans, they are aided by cult member Priest J. Hellion and Sinya must thwart Priest J's efforts to release the Applause Angels into the world.
