The Atthasalini is a book written by Edward Muller in 1897, which is a commentary on the Dhammasangani by Buddhaghosa. The Dhammasangani is a Buddhist text that lists and categorizes all the elements of existence. Buddhaghosa's commentary on this text, the Atthasalini, provides further explanation and analysis of these elements. Muller's book provides a translation of the Atthasalini into English, along with a detailed introduction and notes. The introduction covers the history and background of the Dhammasangani and the Atthasalini, as well as the life and work of Buddhaghosa. The notes provide additional context and explanation for the text, helping the reader to understand its meaning and significance.
