The Ascension is a work for percussion ensemble to convey the Ascension of Christ. After He was crucified, Jesus was taken up to Heaven in his resurrection body in the presence of his Apostles forty days after he was resurrected. But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men.
