He commits serial killings of a horrendous nature leaving behind clues at each crime scene in which through his art he pleads to be found. Investigating the killings are Deputy Chief Mag Goldman of the Homicide Department of the NYPD and his 'flying squad' of seasoned detectives. Chief Goldman calls upon his closest friend Brad Davison, Chairman of the History Department and Director of the Center for Medieval Studies at Queens College to assist him in solving the crimes-all of which appear to be related to the Medieval legends of King Arthur and his knights. As Brad discovers the meaning behind the clues, the race is on to save one mentally ill veteran before he is brought down by the police.
