The Art of Forgiveness brings you great solace from wounds that lurk beneath your anger and resentment. At the same time you are guided toward a way to forgive, you are guided in the healing of your wounds. As a result, you feel cleansed and whole again after what can be years of resenting yourself or others. This book deals with feelings underneath your resentment, such as hurt, disappointment, shame, humiliation, loss, betrayal, fear, and grief. It is in the recognition and healing of these feelings that forgiveness arises.
Once you heal and find you have forgiven, there is a promise of peace. In other words, when you forgive, you are promised the experience of peace.
