This book is based on a true story. It is written by the mother of Ross Powell, a boy with autism. Rossi as he is affectionately called, is also a gifted artist who loves to draw and design. He was diagnosed with autism at 2 years old, after his parents noticed his speech was delayed, along with other related behaviors. One day, his mother realized that he loved drawing and in actual fact Art Is His Voice. His parents were so happy that Ross was able to draw and design things to speak to them. After this discovery, Rossi's mother, Basia Powell, decided to document his fascinating journey and create a fiction series called, Raising Rossi, to help others understand creative kids with special needs. You can follow Ross on all social platforms @rosspowellart and the author @basiapowell.
