A mind on the brink of collapse, a nightmarish place of death whispered only in legends, and a brutal attack... the game is afoot in this new Sherlock Holmes mystery!
Recently settled on the other side of the Atlantic to attend university (having been kicked out of school in London!), young Sherlock Holmes meets Janah Watson at Baker House, a Victorian-era student residence. A friendship seems unlikely-Holmes is too eccentric and Watson has no patience for eccentricity. But when the duo is invited by Baker House's housekeeper, Mrs. Hudson, to investigate the odd things that are happening to the daughter of her former employer, Holmes and Watson must put aside their differences and solve a phantasmic case.
Jia Hartsiva's retelling of the Sherlock Holmes stories intertwines classic Holmesian logic with a touch of the preternatural. Can sound reasoning always explain the inexplicable? Find out in the Truly Holmes Mystery series!
Praise for The Arrival of Sherlock HolmesBrilliant adaptation of a classic character... The language was rich and resembled an old English style... This sure is a lesson for the thousands of other authors and filmmakers who reinvent legendary characters in their works. The suspense in the book was thrilling... -Yasir Sulaiman, Author of Fire
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and found the writing exceptional. The author did an outstanding job of using words and phrases that gave the 'feel' of a great Sherlock Holmes and Watson mystery even though it was modern day... -Tenkara Smart, Author of She Named Me Wolf
