Aristophanis Plutus Comoedia is a book written by the ancient Greek playwright Aristophanes. The book was originally published in 1737 and is a comedy play that explores the themes of wealth and poverty. The plot follows the character of Chremylus, a poor man who seeks to find a way to become wealthy. He seeks the help of the god of wealth, Plutus, who has been blinded by Zeus to prevent him from giving wealth to the wrong people. Chremylus and his friend, Cario, help Plutus regain his sight and in doing so, they become rich. The play is filled with witty humor, satire, and commentary on the social and political issues of the time. The book is a classic of Greek literature and is still widely read and performed today. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
