Written in the early 12th century by Ari Thorgilsson, often called Frodi (the Wise), it is considered the oldest prose work in Old Norse and a foundational text for understanding Icelandic history and culture.
This edition presents the text with scholarly context provided by Andreas Buss us and Jonas Gam.
