Les Constitutions Du Monastère De Port-royal Du St. Sacrement... offers a detailed look into the foundational rules and regulations governing the renowned Port-Royal monastery. This historical document sheds light on the daily life, spiritual practices, and organizational structure of a significant center of Jansenist thought in 17th-century France.
Authored by Gertrude Du Pré, Agnès Arnauld, and Jacqueline Pascal, the constitutions provide invaluable insights into the religious and intellectual climate of the period. Readers interested in religious history, monasticism, or the history of Jansenism will find this work a primary source of immense value. Explore the principles that guided the sisters of Port-Royal and understand their enduring legacy.
