A young woman named Wendy, who tends to get put down a lot finds herself unexpectedly an object of attention to a wealthy business woman and socialite. Coincidentally or otherwise, many underachievers are being targeted for elimination by a handful of extremely wealthy men and some women, who become known as The Titans. According to their plans, similar groups of Titans burgeon exponentially, every member of which is charged with the task of eliminating people deemed unnecessary. In just a few months the eliminations, as well as the growing number of Titans, who have expanded into the less wealthy classes, are becoming unsustainable are making England unstable.
One of the original Titans is the lady who had taken unusual notice of Wendy. When she invites her protege into her Chelsea lair, Wendy begins to wonder what her real motives are.
Meanwhile, a new world order is forming as a result of the exterminations. In England a brutal Emergency Police Commissioner emerges from the Titans, who wishes to impose the new order on the North Pacific island kingdom recently established by the returned King Arthur. The king, as well as some friends living in England, realizing the perilous state that England and perhaps the world is in, are called upon to plunge into the supernatural world of Golgonooza in order to redeem Wendy and those like her -- which perhaps include all humankind.
