There are stories that should be told.
My name is Jessica Karina. I am the only one in my family to have two names. My mother always told me that she and Dad couldn't agree on what to call their last daughter. Dad would not give up on the idea of calling me Jessica, while my mother clung to her desire to call me Karina. At the registry office, the fight over the name was still alive. The secretary was so desperate, seeing that my parents could not agree on a name, that she ended up naming me both names to please both of them. From that day on, it could be predicted that my life would be full of conflicts.

During the following pages I will describe my story, the whole road that has not been easy for me to cross, but that, every day, I face with courage. My mother used to say this phrase: Good things always cost. If I see it this way, then my life must be too good because, how it has cost me!
In this book I open my heart to you, hoping in return, that you will also open yours and receive what God has for you. There is always something new to learn and our God is so amazing that He will never stop teaching us new things. And I said yes, shows what lies beyond after telling God, all excited: yes, I want you in my life! Definitely, I can assure you that, after accepting, there will be difficult moments in which, perhaps, it will cross your mind that choosing God was not the best decision. Loving God is beautiful, but it also costs and, many times, will cost one's life. I am a living example of that.
In the world, when people decide to get married, the couple commits, before many witnesses, to love each other through the good times and the bad, in sickness and in health. They also promise to take care of each other, to be faithful to each other and to love each other until death comes to separate them.
When one decides to accept God, exactly the same thing happens, He is ready to sign and commit, before all witnesses, that He will always be faithful to His covenant. And He will fulfill...
The million-dollar question is: will you also be willing to keep yours?
When things look good it's easy to stand firm, but when things get tough, people usually decide to run away. That's what my life is about, in the following lines I dare, finally, to share it all, hoping that at least something of my story can help you in your life.
After all the journey, the struggles and wars fought, I can assure you that choosing to be with God has been the best decision of my life. Ready to start reading?... I can't wait for you to begin!
