The book then builds the quantitative core of the method through mass-mole relationships, gravimetric stoichiometry, gravimetric factors, reported species, wet and dry basis calculations, significant figures, and dimensional analysis. These chapters help the reader understand not only how to calculate a result, but also how to verify that the calculation respects the chemical transformation involved.
A central part of the volume is devoted to solubility, solubility product, common-ion effect, selective precipitation, pH control, complexation, conditional solubility, supersaturation, nucleation, crystal growth, digestion, and precipitate architecture.
