The American Revolution - Redux is a satirical look at the current American political environment from tea parties and town hall meetings to a presidential address before a joint session of Congress. As the financial and automotive sectors fall, and are immediately taken over by the Government, the final operation has begun, to nationalize the healthcare system in order to implement a nation-wide ID scheme for every American citizen. Johnnie Dough, a typical unemployed American, stumbles upon the Government's plan. Terrified, he attends a healthcare town hall meeting and turns to Pat Henry for help, a senior citizen critical of the Government's intentions and founder of the growing Shoehorn Party, representing the millions of Independent voters who've lost confidence in their Government and both political parties. When the administration secretly detains him, torturing Johnnie into telling all he knows, Pat and his friends try to free him, inadvertently beginning a second American Revolution, all unaware that someone outside the Government has been secretly pulling the strings all along.
