This is a classic textbook of American Combat Judo. Typical of the late 30's and 1940's - American Judo uses a wide array of clear illustrations to showcase a short and brutally effective course of techniques to deal with the Japanese threat of the time.
The volume aims to differentiate the Americanised version from traditional Judo / Ju Jitsu, focusing on scientific principles and the use of 'rough and tumble' American tactics and mind-set.
