When the Money Tree Club begins exploring how personal money works, Mia, Jayden, Sophie, and Leo quickly discover that every family does things differently. One child receives a regular allowance for money practice. Another earns money through approved extra jobs. Someone else follows a combination plan, while one club member is still waiting for a real allowance agreement to begin.
Jayden believes he has the perfect solution: one system, one amount, and one set of rules for everyone.
But when his carefully designed plan fails to fit the lives of all four friends, the club must answer a much harder question. Does fair always mean equal?
With help from Grandpa Ellis, Ms. Rivera, and their families, the children create allowance agreements that explain why money may be provided, when it may arrive, which responsibilities are expected, and which extra jobs may earn payment. Along the way, they learn that future allowance cannot be spent before it is received, not every helpful act needs a price, and comparing money can hurt people when their full circumstances are not understood.
When missed tasks, unexpected family changes, and four very different payment amounts test their new agreements, the friends must decide whether rules exist to make every number match or to help people keep honest promises.
