Rob, with Stephanie's help, had every intention of carefully weighing whether to surrender the extraterrestrial-powered ring to Sharay, the cyborg, for secure keeping. However, circumstances intervened. Now, The Alien Ring continues--for the last time.
With Sharay teaching Rob to expand his command of the ring's powers, he and Stephanie hope their senior year at Lincoln County University will finally bring some normalcy--finishing their mentorships, graduating, and settling into the deeply loving relationship they have built together. But nothing stays simple for long.
To make ends meet, Rob has taken on two new DJ jobs at two different establishments, drawing on his college radio experience, all while still working at Key Drugs Mart. The demanding schedule makes finding time together a challenge, and Stephanie can't help but worry that his new world may test his faithfulness.
Rob is also quietly unraveling. Already managing ADHD and anxiety, he begins to realize that the emotional and physical abuse he suffered at his mother's hands has left deeper scars than he ever admitted. When he finally opens up to Stephanie, she meets his pain with understanding and love--but the healing he needs goes beyond what even she can offer. In addition, a freak accident forces Rob to reveal his ring's capabilities to another person essential to helping his mother.
The mystery he's carried since freshman year resurfaces: Who were the two men in scuba gear spotted near Lake Lea, close to the cavern where the Themadorian spaceship has been hidden for decades? While he attempts to investigate, another threat adds to the mystery as the Sarcophagus Initiative tracks his every move.
When a sudden murder pulls his mentorship with Detective Mark Bonsignor in an entirely different direction, Rob draws on his investigative reporting skills and Sharay's additional training to try to crack the case.
How much more can Rob endure before he unravels completely? His choices will determine not just his future--but the future of the world.
