Rule 1: You can log out whenever you want.
Rule 2: I love you.
QUITTERS GET DELETED.
Eidolon wasn't supposed to exist. A hospice game for kids with no time left, designed so no one dies alone. The only problem? You can't quit.
When 15-year-old Kai logs in using his dead mom's save file, he finds a Hallway with a shrinking door, a Court that deletes the people you love, and Debug City - full of glitched dads asking Are you my son? on loop.
Kai doesn't want XP. He wants out. So he breaks the game.
He mods the grief.
He hacks the love.
He teaches a muted NPC how to say I love you and crashes the whole system.
But when 1,442 kids get trapped in the servers, there's only one way to log them out: Someone stays behind as Admin. Forever.
AFTER SCHOOL is a LitRPG like you've never read before:
For fans of Ready Player One, Dungeon Crawler Carl, and The Last of Us
GameLit meets psychological horror - where the final boss is grief
No stats. No levels. Just one save file: MOM
Exploits: Love is a console command. N is a complete answer.
The game is healing now. The server is you.
