Salt and Pepper are twin sisters. They were born in a puppy mill. But they were rescued, and now they live together in a loving home. But they remember what it was like in that place, and they want to help others. In her book The Adventures of Salt & Pepper, author Naomi Sokol Zeavin shares the story of these two twin puppies. Through pictures and words, you will see how animals need help and kindness from people. Many animals are born in puppy mills-like Salt and Pepper-or left on the street to take care of themselves. Salt and Pepper save the day by having a FUN-raiser, to get money to help all animals. The Adventures of Salt & Pepper is educational, teaching children the importance of working together ... with people of all different demographics. Using pictures of real dogs and youngsters, the author shows step-by-step strategies to reach a collaborative goal that children can easily relate to. -Jill RobinPayne, MA, LPC-S, LCDC
