Adult Gap Year is the inspirational true story of two exhausted parents and business owners, who, after 30 years in the workforce, decided to step off the hamster wheel and take their lives back. Together, they embarked on a mission to regain their health and happiness, and in doing so changed their lives forever.
Sick of the stresses of everyday life and knowing that something had to change, Jenny and her husband experienced the freedom of travelling for a year while seeking to reclaim themselves through nourishment of body, mind, and soul.
Instead of waiting until retirement, they packed up their business, organised guardians for their house and fur babies, set a date, and booked one-way tickets to Bali.
With only the first three weeks of accommodation booked, they decided to plan the rest of the trip along the way.
Their adventures included: Muay Thai boxing camps in Thailand, surfing in Bali, elephant spotting in Sri Lanka, snorkelling with manta rays in Indonesia, visiting the Taj Mahal, and much more. On this journey, they not only reclaimed their health but grew closer together, sharing experiences that they will carry with them forever.
