Many years ago, a group of unwanted, abused, and neglected dogs took over a long-forgotten nuclear missile silo and turned it into their home. Today, they are The League of Ordinary Old Dogs, a technologically advanced, ultra-secret superpower of epic proportions. Headquartered beneath a sleepy suburban subdivision, The League's members emerge nightly in a modified 1976 Cadillac hearse to fight against evil, injustice, and fear.
The League specializes in nurturing hidden talents to evoke weird, unexpected, life-changing results. When you join The League, vulnerability and weakness morph into extraordinary strength and power. For the most part. If they don't, that's okay. Everybody is different, and different is good.
Vincent is a three-pound, 17-year-old Chihuahua. His owner died. When his owner's kids didn't want him, they abandoned him in the middle of a cornfield. Rescued from certain death, Vincent has an opportunity to start his life all over again with The League. Will he take it?
Based on real animals living at Little Old Dog Sanctuary, a nonprofit dog hospice in Colorado, Heroes is the first book in the Absolutely Amazing Adventures of the League of Ordinary Old Dogs series. Explore the secret life of these incredible dogs right now because they're not getting any younger.
