A powerful (mostly) true story told by a very wise dog - a story about the joys of life, the challenges of life, and finally facing the inevitability of his death with amazing grace and courage. You cheer him on as he experiences joys, sorrows, and many extraordinary and heartwarming adventures (and misadventures). He wonders about why people hit that white ball around on those large lawns - are they mad at it.And the real fun at Christmastime for him is being able to frolic in the beautiful present wrappings.Yes, he was surreptitiously smuggled aboard many, many airplanes, without the knowledge of the fight crews, where he flew over one-half million happy miles.Eventually, he became somewhat of a celebrity at airports and hotels across the county, where thousands of travelers greeted him by his first name, JOSE.He will steal your heart, and in the final pages you will share in his peaceful transition while shedding many tears.
