it is a family that Sandy Alfadale seeks after being abandoned by both her mother and father to live with her grandparents. With little more than her last name and a few memories, Sandy has no identity. This is until she meets Maria and Ms. Yang. Their friendship brings her a new world of life and acceptance, but also danger and possible death. For Lorenzo, a family is an escape from his mother's prostitution, the adoption agency where he is little more than a slave and his new adopted parents. After a chance meeting with the mysterious Ray-Ray at the scene of a high school fight, Lorenzo enters into a world where few people are willing to go and fewer ever escape. Every family has its secrets. Secrets can be dangerous and in this family they can be deadly.
