Ryan and Rita Hooper have just moved to the small town of Copper, Oregon. Rita has just taken a teaching position at the local elementary school and Ryan has transferred to the local US Forest Service office. It is the new town and new life that Ryan hopes will make Rita happy. But who and what awaits them has nothing to do with happiness and all too much to do with betrayal. A BEAUTIFUL MOON takes Ryan on a journey from a cliff of dread, through a valley of despair to the mountain top of a renewed spirit and life. Along the way it asks some of the most important questions of human relations: How does one forgive when one is so hurt? How does one forgive one's self when one causes so much pain? The answers are there. They're in the warmth and humor of those who understand. They lurk in the shadows of our common existence and it takes a certain light to show us the answers - perhaps the light from a beautiful moon.
