Suspicious and seeking to aid his townsfolk, Charlemagne investigates the illness that has plagued the town and entrapped his friends in a zone where he believes death awaits them, especially as he sees that this is no mere quarantine effort, but a military occupation with sinister purposes related to this secret, deadly technology.
