A good bicycle and less than a couple of hours of pedaling would be enough to get me by. But I can't leave like this, and then you'll understand why. I'm the only one left to Souty besides the three sisters. It's an incredible story, and if I hadn't lived it firsthand, I would say it's an impossible story. But unfortunately, it's all true. And sadly, they are all dead.
(Basterebbe una buona bicicletta e meno di una paio d'ore di pedalate, per cavarmela. Ma non posso andarmene così, e poi capirete il perché. Io sono l'unico rimasto a Souty, oltre alle tre sorelle. E' una storia incredibile, e se non l'avessi vissuta in prima persona direi che è una storia impossibile. Ma purtroppo è tutto vero. Purtroppo sono tutti morti.)
