A high quality illustration accompanies each poem. The author possesses a unique ability to come at you from left-field in every piece. It's never what you expect. The Disney influence is strong for example in the use of creatures to tell a story of injustice in a futuristic bee and flea populated planet or how a bookworm likes cook books; not to read them but to eat them. For any budding writers Killer Quiller is a must. It delves into writer's block from the viewpoint of a quill who is enthralled by the unfolding adventure but then the author gets writer's block and on top of that he runs out of ink. The poem really expresses the frustration of the writer and felt by the quill. In the piece entitled The Future's in Parts we get a glimpse of a hilarious future in which you can buy whatever body parts you want. The mismatches are glorious to behold; from a glass thigh to three arms, one lions leg and one ballerina's leg and every other combination you can think of. The author has a music and legal background. These two elements shine through in Act of Desperation, an hilarious story of Jack Daniels who is a total failure as an wannabe straight actor. He ends up as a wino on the street, gets up to mischief on New Year's Eve but has no memory of it. He finds himself in court accused of things he has no idea of. In the course of the trial, while Jack is on the stand, the courtroom cracks up at every word he utters. Jack has a blinding revelation about his life.
