In The Second Caliph: Umar Al-Farooq, Abu Huthayfa presents a thoughtful and engaging look at one of the strongest leaders in Islamic history. The book focuses on Umar ibn al-Khattab's (رضي الله عنه) deep sense of justice, his commitment to equality, and his constant concern for the well-being of the Muslim community.
Young readers are introduced to how Umar (R) helped shape the Islamic state, from setting up fair systems of governance to introducing practical reforms that made everyday life better for people. The book also touches on his efforts to establish social welfare measures, showing how leadership in Islam is closely tied to responsibility and care for others.
Throughout the book, Abu Huthayfa highlights Umar's firmness in upholding justice while remaining sincere and God-fearing. With careful research and clear explanations, the author shows how Umar's decisions left a lasting impact on both the political and social foundations of Islamic civilisation.
This book helps children understand that true strength lies not just in power, but in fairness, accountability, and standing up for what is right.
