Chanukah is the only Jewish holiday on the twenty-fifth day of the month. The Talmud makes it seem incidental as if that was just the day the miracles that gave rise to the holiday occurred. Kabbalah explains otherwise. The miracles happened on that day because of the specialness of the number twenty-five, and its supernal connection to the primordial light of Creation, the Ohr HaGanuz-Hidden Light. For that reason, the first twenty-four days of Kislev are far from ordinary, and this is the book to discuss why and how to use them to be ready for the awesome light of Chanukah.
