Scott sat on the windowsill, drinking in the warm Sunday afternoon sunshine. The back of his head felt warm as he reached back to touch it. He opened one eye, stretched slightly, and looked at the clock. Four o'clock. Several hours to go until it was time. He closed the eye again and dozed in the intoxicating warmth. For years, Scott was a normal boy, as normal as any boy can be.
