This charming book is a superb recreation of 12 favourite bible stories, written for children between the ages of 8 and 12. Not only does each story give a vivid and very real snapshot of each biblical character's story, their life, families, and their homes, but it also offers a fascinating insight into the Jewish faith and festivals, and the challenges they had to face. Read about the life of Joseph - his technicolour dream coat, his relationship struggles with his brothers and his strong relationship with God. Find out what happened to Moses, David, Lazarus, and Bartimaeus, too, and discover the astonishing tale of the feeding of the 5,000, the nativity, and the miracle jar of oil. And reflect on the solid and strong messages which feature in every story - God is always with us, His love knows no bounds, and the extraordinary power of faith. These stories are beautifully written, perfectly chosen and articulately recreated. The author has cleverly brought these characters to life and offers a refreshing perspective that will have readers of any age hooked from the beginning. Is your favourite bible story here?
