The author wrote this book solely for his mother, whose reference can be seen from the female figure she addresses several times as a friend, who stops: home, family, work and children on her shoulders for a lifetime.
He wants her to come out of her shell, to finally find the girl full of dreams that she once was and still is.

Her experience translates into that of her ''Dear friend'', who also has a diary, which she will have to reopen and leaf through to find her little girl and thus rediscover her greatest desires in her emotions.
