If the first volume of this series had never existed, my writing may have taken a different trajectory. Like many of my exploits, it was serendipitous and followed an effort to combine the literary and the artistic. Both fields have a way of reinforcing the other, and I could not have wished for a better scenario. As I noted in one of my writings, there are moments when the visual depiction of images is not enough to express the thoughts of one's heart, and it is for such moments that this book may come in handy. I hope it complements the readers' experience, not only of my work but also of others. As a thinking creature, I devote a greater percentage of my time to contemplation than to painting, and some of the thoughts shared in this book are from those exercises. While the thoughts are unique to my experience, I hope you find one or two relevant to your journey, especially as you navigate art and life.
