Wild Wind is the first book written by young author Lena Thomson about the mysterious kidnapping of Uncle Del, stolen horses, ransom messages, and the strange but familiar ranch hand who seems to understand Cassie Lewis surprisingly well. Teen Cassie Lewis is nearing her admission to college life, but travels at a moments' notice to give her cousin Maddie moral support and assist in the twist of fate which could result in Maddie losing a father, a ranch, and her livelihood. Readers will enjoy the quirky events that occur in three days, and cheer for Cassie's confidence and determination in tough times. Using the pen name of Lena Thomson, our author is herself a teenager who knows how to combine the busy life of high school studies and planning a college career. This story includes names of places and people that are significant to young Lena Thomson, and that too is part of the mystery.
