Writer Mo-Yan has recorded the changes that happened in China through his childhood friend's life experiences. He creates world with facts and factious along with historical, social insights. His writing remains William Faulkner and Gabriel Garcia Marquez. At the same time it identifies the deviating point from olden Chinese literature.
