A gentle picture book about fear, bravery, and discovering that something scary might simply be something new.
At the quiet pond, Yula the dragonfly and Lotus the flower spend their days together in peace. The water shimmers, the sunlight glows, and everything feels safe and still.
But one day, a strange ripple appears.
Yula flutters. Lotus trembles. The ripple grows bigger and bigger, and neither friend knows what could be hiding beneath the water. Is it something scary? Is it something dangerous? Or could it be something they have never met before?
Yula and Lotus and the Scary Ripple is a warm, beautifully illustrated children's picture book about facing uncertainty with courage, kindness, and curiosity. Perfect for young readers ages 3 to 6, this gentle story helps children understand that feeling afraid is natural-and that bravery can begin with simply staying close, taking a breath, and looking a little closer.
Ideal for bedtime reading, classroom story time, social-emotional learning, and conversations about friendship, fear, courage, and new experiences.
